Rachel Thomas

Set Design

Based in London, Rachel Thomas is a set designer and art director. Her career began early, leaving school to work for Vivienne Westwood in her iconic Worlds End store and then on to New York, where she worked as a stylist’s assistant, before returning to London to study fine art at Goldsmiths.

With her unique approach to materials and mise-en-scène, Thomas is adept at creating atmosphere, captivating the viewer’s imagination and telling multi-faceted stories. From building immersive worlds in retail environments to creating finely crafted object-based sets for advertising campaigns and films, Thomas’s bold, eye-catching work has earned her a reputation as one of the most original image-makers in both the fashion industry and wider commercial world. Hermès, Apple, H&M, Netflix and Bottega Veneta are among her varied and prestigious clients.
